The Keta Municipal Secretariat of the National Youth Authority (NYA) has continued its mission to empower the youth through a range of development programs aimed at equipping them with the skills and confidence to engage actively in community leadership and decision-making. Among the key initiatives implemented were mentorship programs, adolescent sexual and reproductive health education, and activities under the Youth Parliament framework.

A significant highlight was the Orientation and Training for New Parliamentarians of the Second Youth Parliament of Keta/Anloga. This important exercise was organized to educate new members on parliamentary rules, regulations, and protocols, ensuring that they are well-prepared to participate meaningfully in democratic processes. Additionally, the training aimed to equip these young leaders with vital leadership and governance skills needed to serve as role models and change agents in their respective communities.

Resource persons for the session included Mr. Francis K. Susuawu, Dan Sosoo, Yonnah Keleku, and Hon. Shugah Mawuli Antonio, who guided participants through parliamentary procedures, leadership ethics, and effective advocacy techniques.

Participants expressed great enthusiasm about the program and conveyed their eagerness to attend future parliamentary sittings. Many highlighted the importance of such platforms in amplifying the voices of young people and shaping policies that address youth-related issues within the municipality. The NYA reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining these initiatives to nurture informed, confident, and active youth leaders in the Keta Municipality.
