The people of Anyako Electoral Area gave an electrifying welcome to Hon. Wisdom Seade today during his community engagement tour. The occasion was especially emotional, as Hon. Seade once served as their Assembly Member before rising to the high office of MCE, making the visit a heartfelt homecoming.

Before meeting residents of Seva and Anyako-Konu, the MCE paid a courtesy call on Togbi Tengey Dzokoto Gligui VII, Fiaga of Anyako and President of the Amugo-Wego Traditional Council, and his elders.

Hon. Seade expressed gratitude for the chiefs’ continued prayers and support, attributing his leadership journey to their encouragement and blessings. He appealed for their sustained guidance and unity to help him succeed in office.

Togbi Tengey, in turn, thanked the MCE for the visit, describing it as a great honor. He took the opportunity to appeal to the Divisional Police Commander to invite the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to Anyako, given the town’s rich historical significance.

He highlighted that Anyako is the hometown of the first Black Commissioner of Police and called for a monument in his honor. Togbi further urged the MCE to ensure that Komla Agbeli Gbedemah, another illustrious son of Anyako, is similarly recognized.

Addressing the people of Seva and Anyako-Konu, Hon. Seade announced plans to construct a new CHPS compound in Seva to improve healthcare delivery. He also pledged to work with the soon-to-be-elected Assembly Member to rehabilitate town roads using the Assembly’s DRIP machines.

The MCE assured residents of his commitment to resolving their longstanding water supply challenges and commended Mr. Vincent Kwagbenu for championing safe drinking water initiatives across the Anyako-Seva corridor. He further promised to extend electricity to unconnected areas as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements.

The day concluded on a joyful note at the MCE’s residence, where he and his family hosted a Father’s Day buffet to thank the Assembly team and the Keta Division of Police for their dedication and support throughout the engagement tour.
