The forecourt of the Keta Municipal Assembly came alive today as people from all walks of life gathered for a powerful and unifying National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving. The event, which brought together traditionalists, Muslims, and Christians, was a vibrant reflection of Ghana’s rich cultural and religious diversity.

In a beautifully coordinated order, traditional leaders led the spiritual proceedings by pouring libation to the gods, invoking peace and blessings for the municipality. This was followed by solemn Muslim prayers, led by the Chief Imam, calling on Allah for guidance and unity.

The atmosphere shifted to praise and intercession as Christian leaders took center stage, offering heartfelt prayers for the nation, its leaders, and especially the Keta Municipality—seeking divine protection from tidal waves and other calamities. Special prayers were also said for the youth, focusing on the fight against drug abuse and the need for employment opportunities to secure their future.

The event was made even more uplifting with performances from a Brass Band, the Cultural Troupe, and gospel minister Setsoafia and friends, who thrilled the crowd with music and dance.

As the program ended, there was a renewed sense of unity and hope anchored in the theme:

“Reflect, Reset, and Renew for National Prosperity.”

It was not just a gathering—it was a moment of spiritual awakening and a collective call for a better, stronger, and more united Keta.
