The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Keta Municipal Assembly, has received a significant donation from Dr. Senanu Kwesi Djokoto, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Operations at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), to support ongoing relief efforts for flood-affected communities within the municipality.

The donation, made in response to the recent flooding that has impacted several communities, comprised 500 pairs of Wellington boots for distribution to affected victims, as well as a cash contribution of GH¢20,000 to support NADMO’s flood response and administrative operations.

Dr. Djokoto also pledged to continue advocating for additional relief items to support affected households as recovery efforts continue across the municipality.

The Keta Municipal Director of NADMO, Mr. Wonder Setsoafia Deynu, expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Djokoto for his timely intervention and unwavering commitment to the welfare of flood victims. He described the donation as a significant contribution that will enhance ongoing humanitarian assistance and strengthen the municipality’s emergency response efforts.

Mr. Deynu further noted that the generous gesture reflects a strong sense of compassion and solidarity with affected communities, adding that the support would bring relief and hope to many families whose livelihoods have been disrupted by the floods.

He appealed to corporate organisations, hospitality establishments, non-governmental organisations, faith-based organisations, development partners, and other well-meaning individuals to emulate Dr. Djokoto’s example by supporting the ongoing relief efforts to ensure that every affected household receives the assistance it needs.

The Keta Municipal NADMO Office reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with government agencies, development partners, and stakeholders to coordinate relief interventions and support the recovery of flood-affected communities.

NADMO extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Senanu Kwesi Djokoto for his generosity and dedication to the people of Keta, expressing confidence that his support will inspire others to contribute to the municipality’s humanitarian response.

Together, through collaboration and compassion, we can restore hope and build resilience in flood-affected communities across the Keta Municipality.
