The Keta Municipal Assembly brought the year to a close with a spirited and heartfelt staff durbar, which doubled as a farewell ceremony for their outgoing Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Emmanuel Gemegah. The event, held in a warm and festive atmosphere, marked an emotional yet celebratory moment for staff and assembly members alike.

In his farewell address, Hon. Gemegah officially announced the end of his tenure as MCE, expressing profound gratitude to the entire assembly staff for their steadfast support and cooperation throughout his time in office. He lauded their collective efforts in advancing the municipality’s development agenda and fostering community growth. “It has been an honour to work alongside such a dedicated team. Together, we’ve achieved remarkable milestones, and I am confident the Assembly will continue to thrive,” he remarked.

The Coordinating Director, Mr. Innocent Gavua, also took to the podium, commending Hon. Gemegah for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the progress of Keta. He highlighted the outgoing MCE’s numerous contributions and wished him success in his future endeavors.

The atmosphere was a beautiful blend of emotions a touch of sadness in bidding farewell to a respected leader, yet a prevailing sense of joy and togetherness as the Christmas spirit filled the air. Staff members exchanged kind words, laughter, and festive cheer, with the event’s colorful décor and lively performances adding to the memorable close of the year.

The durbar not only celebrated the achievements of the past year but also reaffirmed the unity and resilience of the Assembly as they looked forward to a promising new year.
