The Keta Municipal Assembly has made a notable contribution to Kedzi Technical Institution with the donation of essential furniture to support teaching and learning at the school. The items, which included ironing tables, chairs, and tables, were officially presented by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Keta, Hon. Emmanuel Gemegah. This donation acknowledges the unique role of Kedzi Technical Institution as the only Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution within the municipality.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Hon. Gemegah highlighted the importance of investing in technical education as a means of securing the future for young people in the area. He recounted his visit to the school the previous year, during which the principal outlined several challenges facing the institution. “After our discussions and during the Assembly’s budget review, we made it a priority to support the school with this donation,” the MCE stated.

The principal of Kedzi Technical Institution, visibly moved by the gesture, expressed his heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the school community. He assured the Assembly that the donated items would be carefully maintained and used effectively to enhance the learning environment for students.

Additionally, the principal seized the opportunity to appeal for further assistance, pointing out the pressing need for a pavilion to accommodate the growing student population. “Since joining the TVET program, our enrollment figures have continued to rise, and we urgently require expanded infrastructure to meet this demand,” he emphasized.

The donation marks a positive step towards improving the school’s facilities and advancing technical education in the municipality. It reflects the Assembly’s commitment to fostering educational growth and equipping students with the skills needed for national development.
