The Keta Municipal Assembly, through its social welfare and community development efforts, has undertaken significant capacity-building activities. As part of initiatives to strengthen families and improve livelihoods, home visits were conducted, offering guidance and education on pressing family matters, particularly on managing and supporting adolescent children through critical phases of their lives.
Additionally, a one-day skill development workshop was organized for Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs) at the Assembly Hall in Keta. The training focused on alternative livelihood opportunities, equipping participants with practical skills in the production of liquid soap, bleach, and washing powder. A total of fifty (50) individuals benefitted from the program, made up of fourteen (14) males and thirty-six (36) females. The training aimed to empower participants economically, fostering self-reliance and reducing dependency.
