Visit to the Palace of Dufia of Anyako

Earlier today, I paid a courtesy call on Torgbui Tenge Dzokoto Gligui VII, Dufia of Anyako- Konu in his Palace.

The visit to the Palace was in honor of an invitation placed on me by Torgbui.

I was led by a team of Government Appointees from the Keta Municipal Assembly including Agbotadua Kumazah, Miss Success Sika Dorvlo, Miss Patience Lotsu and Mr Godsway Mensah, there were also members of the New Patriotic Party including the Constituency Youth Organiser Elikplim Fianu, my father and beloved wife were not exempted.

It was an opportunity to fraternise with the traditional authority of the Anyako-Konu Traditional Area.

A prayer was said for myself and the KeMA.

Torgbui and his entourage warmly congratulated me on my appointment as the Municipal Chief Executive of the Keta Municipal Assembly.

Torgbui Dzokoto Tenge Gligui VII took turns to catalog few challenges affecting the Anyako-Konu Traditional Area.

He expressed dissatisfaction towards the patronage of education in the traditional area and made a passionate appeal to my outfit to come to their rescue.

An appeal was also made for the extension of electricity to households in the Traditional Area.

Finally he took a swipe on some youths in the Traditional Area who are involved in the use and abuse of the Canadian herb and also engaged in all forms of social vices.

I used the opportunity to inform the Traditional Authority about how enthused I am to clamp down the menace of poor education in the municipality.

Subsequently, I assured the house, my outfit shall liase with the appropriate institutions to ensure electricity is extended to households as mentioned by Torgbui.

I also stated how committed I am to the rectification of the “almighty” water supply problem of Anyako.

Finally, I indicated to Torgbui in the capacity of the chairman of MUSEC, about mechanisms put in place during these few days of my administration to beef up security in the entire municipality.

In conclusion, my team and the Traditional Authority assured each other of the cordial relationship that will promote development of the area.

On my return, I couldn’t pass away the Awomefia Senior High School, ANYASCO but to visit the school to familiarize with the staff and students of the school and also get first hand information about the current state of the school.
