Food hygiene and safety is of paramount importance since what enters our stomach affects the whole body. And also, it has been noted with grave concern the alarming rate at which communicable diseases like typhoid fever, tuberculosis, cholera etc are spreading among the population through unhygienic preparation, poor storage, and sale of food and drinks. It is therefore our duty to ensure food safety for all, and medical screening is done yearly to check the health status of food vendors.
The Keta Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the HG MEDICAL & LABORATORY SERVICES conducted the 2022 annual food and drink handler’s medical screening. The exercise began on the 7th feb,2022 and ended on the 24th March,2022.
