Japan International Cooperation Agency has been a partner to the education directorate for some years now. JICA help in recruiting volunteers from Japan that are sent to the directorate to give technical support to pupils and teachers. Volunteers from JICA often serve as a suppose base for our teachers whenever they are with us. On this visit, the officer from JICA met with the municipal director of education to discuss modalities to ensure that the municipal receives volunteers in the coming recruitment window. The deliberations were successful as it saw agreement on volunteers in Science, ICT and Health being reached and it is expected that in the next cohort, volunteers will dispatch to the municipal.
