The Volta regional chapter of youth parliament has been inaugurated with the aim of creating awareness and exploring tourism potentials as a tool for employment and development.

It has been noted that many tourist attraction areas in the region has been neglected for business by the youth and therefore needed awareness drive that should champion Youth Parliament House.

The Youth from various electoral areas in the region are therefore calling on the next youth Parliament to uphold the concepts and rationales behind developing tourist areas.

Youth leaders and patrons are requesting for programs and interventions tailored in facilitating their development.

They indicated that to revive and empower citizens interest in local governance and advance behavioral changes in demanding accountability from the public officials using legal and appropriate channels, youth must be empowered first.

To sensitize the youth on the constitutional mandates of NYA,they must be registered in groups to champion their needs.

Some dignitaries present at the ceremony were Hon.Dr Archibald Yao Letsa,the Volta regional Minister,CEO of NYA Hon.Pius Hadzide, Mr Dannis  Abotsi,Volta Regional Director,Mr Yao Semorde and others.Ho and Keta Municipality
