Teacher Recognition Day 2022 under the theme; The Transformation of Education Begins with the Teacher was celebrated under the auspices of Keta Municipal Education Directorate in collaboration with Keta GNAT and Right to Play Ghana on Thursday, 15th December, 2022 at KETASCO park.

The event was attended by teachers within Keta and Anloga as it seeks to award teachers from both directorates. The Guest speaker Mad. Yvonne Akpene Ame-Bruce in her speech encouraged teachers to always uphold professionalism in the discharge of their duties as teachers and urge government through the municipal assembly to institute more motivating schemes to help encourage more teachers to do more in impacting the lives of the young ones. The host Director Mr. Gerhard Kwasi Avudzivi encouraged teachers in the municipality and awardees to continue the good work and to do more to improve the performance of pupils in the final examination.

The MCE Hon. Emmanuel Gemegah promised and unflinching support of government towards the improvement of education in the municipality, he touted the performance of the teachers in the municipality as that has led to the municipal producing the national best teacher in the Kindergarten category (Mad. Enyo Deh). He urge teachers to do more to bring more glory to the municipality.
