School Health and Hygiene Inspection Promotes Wellness: Anlo State School and Xorvi A.M.E Zion Basic School Take Proactive Measures
In an effort to prioritize student well-being, school health inspections were conducted at Anlo State School and Xorvi A.M.E Zion Basic School, both beneficiaries of the school feeding program. With a combined student population of 1,074 (456 male, 618 female), the schools boast spacious, well-ventilated classrooms and adequate lighting. However, inspections revealed nuisances like refuse dumping, unsanitary urinals, and inadequate hand washing facilities. Health education sessions addressed proper hand washing, emphasizing critical times. Immediate actions included cleaning facilities, halting improper practices, and planning for enhanced cleanliness through duty rosters and additional hand washing facilities.
