Anlo Traditional Council and the Keta Municipal Assembly have honored Dr Samuel Confidence Dotse for being African Special Envoy on Climate change from international society of Diplomats.
He received “Distinguished Award for Meritorious Service” as he was recognized of his immeasurable supports and dedication to the sustainable socioeconomic development of the Keta municipal assembly and the Anlo Traditional council.
A citation jointly signed by Togbi Sri lll,”Awadada of Anlo state” and Mr Emmanuel Gemegah,the Keta Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) was presented to Dr Dotse for his hardworks towards the progress of the Municipality as well as the Traditional council.
He has been appointed as the first African Special Envoy on climate change in this because of his dedication and hard works.
He was the first Ghanaian and non-state actor to also occupied the second highest office of at the African Union Economic Social and Cultural Council as a deputy presiding officer from 2014 to 2017 and also the first to be awarded the UN Environment and University at Eastern Finland’s “SILVER TONGUE AWARD” for the UN Framework Convention on Climate change negotiations on the Paris Agreement in 2015.
Torgbi Tenge Dzokoto Gligui VII,Dufia of Anyako chaired the colorful occasion characterized with dancing and drumming from different culture troops.
Hon. Emmanuel Gemega, the MCE of Keta praised Dr. Dotse for his hardworks and efforts and urged others to emulate same.
Dr Samuel Confidence Dotse promised to work harder to bring more development to the municipality through his new position.
