Pursuant to Section 23 (1) of the Ghana health service and Teaching hospitals ACT 1996, act 525, every Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies required to establish a District Health Committee in the area of jurisdiction.

As a result, the Keta municipal assembly took the opportunity to Constitute and inaugurate the Committee.
