Ghana Ports and Harbor ceremoniously handed over the project key of a state-of-the-art fish-smoking pavilion to the Keta Municipal Assembly.

The completion of this ambitious undertaking, which spanned 18 months, marks a remarkable achievement in the ongoing development of fish landing sites across Ghana, funded by the government of Ghana.

The project consist of a fish-smoking pavilion, a health post and a toilet facility.

The ultra-modern fish-smoking pavilion is set to revolutionize fish processing and preservation in the municipality, incorporating cutting-edge technology and infrastructure.

The project engineer of Meridian logistics and engineering, Mr Effui Sablah said, the project’s success reflects the commitment of the government of Ghana to bolster the country’s fisheries sector and empower coastal communities like Keta.

He said, the initiative aligns with broader efforts by the government to promote sustainable fishing practices and economic growth in the country.
