The Keta Municipal Assembly, in compliance with the local governance act, engaged the business community of Atiavi, to discuss and negotiate fee structures and promote transparency in governance. The event aimed at fostering a conducive business environment and encouraging stakeholders’ participation in local governance.

Key issues addressed included the importance of popular participation and the role fees, fines, and permits play in promoting economic development. Mr. Kofi Kabibayo, the Municipal Budget Analyst, emphasized the significance of timely payments for sustainable municipality development.

In conclusion, the successful engagement highlighted the commitment of the Keta Municipal Assembly to inclusive governance, transparency, and economic development. The proposed fee adjustments and the collaborative approach between the Assembly and stakeholders are expected to contribute to the overall betterment of the Municipality.
