The Keta Municipal Secretariat of the National Youth Authority (NYA) has stepped up its commitment to youth empowerment through a series of impactful programs designed to equip young people with essential skills and knowledge for personal growth and community development. Key among these initiatives were mentorship sessions, adolescent sexual and reproductive health education, and the successful orientation of the Youth Parliament.
As part of its continuous improvement strategy, the Secretariat held the Developers Net End Quarterly Review. The review session served as a platform to assess the impact and effectiveness of current programs, address emerging challenges, and chart new directions for future youth-focused initiatives.
The session was facilitated by experienced resource persons, including Mr. Francis K. Susuawu, director of NYA Mr. David Pomeafa, director of BAC Miss Glory Afetsi, Miss Orelia Tudzi, and Mr. Forster Gbedenya. Discussions focused on refining goals and strategies to ensure that interventions remain relevant and impactful.
Participants, especially adolescents, expressed appreciation for the programs and requested more regular engagements and outreach activities from the Developers’ Net Association. The feedback emphasized the importance of consistent youth development programs in fostering leadership, awareness, and active civic participation in the Keta Municipality.
