The Keta Municipal Secretariat of the National Youth Authority (NYA) continues to empower young people through practical and informative programs aimed at preparing them for leadership, business, and responsible adulthood. As part of its initiatives, the Secretariat organized a sensitization session under the BizBox Programme, focusing on the importance of business registration and formalization.
The activity, dubbed “Developers Educate the Youth on the Importance of Acquiring Business Certificates”, sought to assist young entrepreneurs in understanding the benefits of operating registered businesses. The programme emphasized how acquiring a business certificate not only secures legal recognition but also provides access to funding opportunities, business advisory services, and market credibility.
Key resource persons included Mr. David Pomeafa, the Municipal Director of the Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA), Madam Veronica Akpagana from the National Service Programme, and Mr. Francis K. Susuawu, Director of NYA Keta. The facilitators addressed various concerns from the participants, clarifying procedures for business registration and its long-term advantages.
The organizers expressed satisfaction with the high turnout and active participation of the youth, reaffirming their commitment to equipping the next generation with relevant entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.
