The Keta Municipal Secretariat of the National Youth Authority (NYA) continues its efforts to empower and support the youth through impactful development initiatives. As part of its quarterly programs, the Secretariat hosted a presentation by the Developers Net Youth Association, focusing on key issues affecting young people, particularly adolescent girls in deprived communities.
The primary objective of the event was to help eradicate menstrual poverty among adolescent girls while also addressing the importance of balancing academic, social, and personal responsibilities. The program provided practical advice on managing daily challenges, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance, all aimed at fostering personal growth and confidence among the youth.
The initiative received strong backing from the Public Health Unit of the Keta Municipal Assembly and the Public Health Department of the Keta Municipal Hospital, who lauded the relevance of the topics discussed.
Key resource persons included Ms. Gidimajor, Ms. Bridget Axovi, Mr. Godknows Ahiagba, Mr. Francis K. Susuawu, Madam Bernice Amekudzie, and Madam Glory Edinam Afeti.
