The Keta Municipal Assembly held its first general staff meeting of 2026 at the Assembly Hall on Monday. The session began at with an opening prayer by Ms. Akushika Attipoe, followed by staff introductions.

The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) welcomed staff, introduced Mr. Mohammed Abass, the newly posted Municipal Works Engineer, and extended greetings to National Service Personnel and students from the Ho School of Hygiene. He thanked staff for their dedication in 2025 and encouraged continued teamwork in 2026.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Wisdom Seade, highlighted the Assembly’s strong performance in the 2025 District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT), which earned the municipality significant development funds. He announced a new staff welfare scheme with a GH¢10,000 seed fund and assured fair treatment for all staff.

Madam Gloria from the State Insurance Company (SIC) briefed staff on the group insurance welfare package. Staff agreed to merge existing welfare groups into a single scheme with a monthly contribution of GH¢20 per member, and an interim committee was appointed to draft its constitution.

During the open forum, staff raised issues on appraisals, motivation, revenue mobilization, logistics, accommodation, and promotion arrears, which management pledged to address.

The Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC) team, led by Director Ahaj Mohammed Avona Akape, encouraged staff to align their work with regional and national development goals. Achievements and ongoing projects were also presented by the Assistant Development Planning Officer, Esther Agyeman.
